Squarespace for Family Vineyards
By Josh Neimark 11 Jan, 2016
Good wine comes from good grapes. Good grapes come from long days, hard work, and passion. That’s what you’ll find at Sangiacomo Family Vineyards. Having farmed in Sonoma since 1927, today three generations of the Sangiacomo family live on or near the vineyards. They are dedicated to not only growing amazing grapes, but also to sustainable farming, social responsibility, integrity, fairness, and respect. How could a grape growing family with such a rich history and conscientious value system settle for anything less than an amazing Squarespace website with which to tell their story? The Sangiacomo Family Vineyards’ Squarespace website provides an in-depth look at the family’s approach to farming as well as its roots. With a clear and easy-to-navigate design, the Squarespace site offers a comprehensive Media Kit with a variety of available downloads—making it easy for the press to access images and information. Filled with pictures of the many generations of Sangiacomos, the vineyards’ Squarespace site is the perfect introduction to this very special family business. Saluti, Fix8 Media
Squarespace for Grapes

Over the past year at Fix8 Media, we’ve had the distinct pleasure of working with a variety of different vineyards out in California, looking to revamp their online presence with Squarespace. Coastview Vineyard is no exception, and their site’s imagery immediately transports you to their breathtaking location out in the Gabilan Mountains in Salinas Valley. And their wines? Well, judge for yourself! Their directive was to create a wine label that spoke to adventure and the idea of hidden treasure, in a Jules Verne style of thinking. Each label references a journey or traveler and speaks to the uniqueness not only of the wine but the vineyard where it was grown. The warm days and cool nights allow for long hang times that result in perfect conditions for ripe fruit flavors and elegant acidity. Their site not only allows you access to purchase their complex varieties, but also takes you on a journey of the philosophy behind their winemaking. Gorgeous photos fill the galleries, and will undoubtedly leave you staring at the clock, waiting for 5pm to hit. Were excited for what’s next for these guys, and can’t wait to watch their growth! Cheers, Fix8

We at Fix8 are getting our grapes on…big time. Elan Vineyards from Atlas Peak Appellation of the Napa Valley is located in an oasis. At 2,100 feet above sea level, Elan Vineyards enjoys cooling mountain breezes from the San Francisco Bay, which offer refuge from the hot summer daytime temperatures. Just check out their gallery – working with these photos have gotten us jealous.. and thirsty! Their site is integrated with the awesome Vinespring platform. Through this system, the seller and buyers of the wine can communicate and make payments easily – fully revolutionizing the way that small batch wine is distributed and enjoyed. Learn about their wine society, and get in contact with them about planning a tour or becoming a buyer. Cheers, Fix8

“We had been planning to re-design our antiquated (pre 1999) website for years but outrageous estimates from local designers were not cost effective for us, so we continued to put it off. A few months ago we were referred to Josh at Fix8 Media because of his expertise with Squarespace. After my first phone conversation with Josh it was easy to make the decision to hire Fix8 Media for our Squarespace project. We provided the content and photos, and a couple examples of website designs we liked, and Josh went to work. Within weeks he got back to us with multiple design options. We communicated freely and Josh was very receptive, offering his suggestions and recommendations based on his vast design knowledge and years of experience working with Squarespace.

Josh and the Fix8 Media team were very enthusiastic about learning about us, our business, and how they could best present our winery to the world. Since its launch, we have received feedback on a daily basis from our customers about how stunning, and user friendly, our new site is. One customer commented; “When I viewed the photo gallery it took me right back to my visit, I literally felt like I was standing on your property again!”.

Thank you Josh and the Fix8 Media team for a job well done!

Cheers,”
