An Interview with Fix8 Media Content and SEO Strategist Tina Snyder

In a recent interview, Fix8 Media’s content and SEO strategist, Tina Snyder, describes her experiences working on the Fix8 Media Squarespace Specialists team.

Describe your role at Fix8?

I work with clients on anything content-related—from copy for their Squarespace websites to blog posts to various marketing and PR initiatives. In addition to ensuring that their content is grammatically correct and properly punctuated, I help them hone a consistent voice that speaks to their audience. Also, I collaborate with clients to ensure the foundation is in place for SEO, whether they are working with our team to build a new Squarespace site or reviewing their current site for keywords.

In addition, I help with overall project management at Fix8, as well as coordinate and execute our internal marketing and PR efforts.

What do you like most about working on the Fix8 Media team?

What’s not to like? Seriously, I love working with a passionate and hard-working group of experienced professionals who genuinely enjoy what they do and love to laugh. And this group attracts a like-minded clientele who expect only the highest caliber of work but want to enjoy the process along the way. And at the heart of it, the Fix8 team is a family, and we welcome clients weekly into the Squarespace family. It’s a very unique and talented group to work with, and I’m thrilled to be part of it.

For you, what’s most fulfilling about working for a Squarespace-centric agency?

Many may not know that I came to Fix8 first as a client. I hired Josh and his team to build a website for my jewelry company and the rest, as they say, is history! Ok, that’s corny, but it’s true!

I wouldn’t be exaggerating when I say that I love most everything about Squarespace. Admittedly, I was first attracted to the platform for its gorgeous aesthetics and clean templates, but the more I worked in it, the more I came to appreciate its user-friendly tools. I love the fact that Fix8 can build a Squarespace website for a client and send them away with the tools and training to manage that website all on their own. It’s so empowering for the client and fulfilling for us to build them something beautiful that they can then evolve on their own with no special web training or tech savvy.

What sets Fix8 Media apart from other web design agencies?

Well now we’re back to that whole family thing—which, as I said, is at the heart of Fix8. Our clients aren’t customers. Our projects aren’t jobs. Everyone on our team truly wants to understand our clients’ needs and use our respective talents to help them achieve their goals. And our process is a real collaboration. We don’t want you to dictate things to us so we can effect them. We want to work with you, not for you. And whatever the project, it always turns out better for it.

What do you like most about collaborating with Fix8 clients on website content and blogs?

I feel so fortunate to have a natural ability to translate ideas and thoughts into words on a page. And for the past 16+ years, I have honed that skill by helping others share their stories in compelling prose. It’s so rewarding for me to help individuals and companies establish a voice for their Squarespace website and blog that speaks to their audience. And don’t get me started on blogging, which is one of the most important efforts you can make toward enhancing SEO. Helping our clients populate their websites and blogs with carefully crafted, consistent content is what I love and do best.

When you aren’t busy pecking away at the keyboard, where can we find you?

Dreaming up new jewelry designs for my line, spending time with my energetic and creative daughters, or, on the occasion that I have a few precious moments to myself, reading a good book with a nice glass of Pinot Noir in hand.
