Humanitas Chooses Squarespace to Honor Special Storytellers
We’ve all had the experience of watching a television show or movie that impacted us in a special way. Oftentimes, the spotlight shines on the actors and directors who brought the story to life—overshadowing the creative mind of the writer who dreamed it all up in the first place.
Humanitas is a nonprofit organization in Santa Monica that is dedicated to those very storytellers. The group’s mission is to turn the spotlight on the writers, recognizing and honoring film and television writers who entertain and enrich their audiences—and supporting young talent just entering the field. Fix8 Media’s Squarespace designers and developers were thrilled to partner with the Humanitas team to take their outdated website to new levels using the Squarespace platform.
Starting with the Squarespace Rally template, Fix8’s Squarespace designers literally shined the spotlight on Humanitas honorees, crafting a gorgeous, scrolling home page featuring a video reel of featured writers, a slideshow of recent winners, and numerous calls to action to dive right in and learn more. Humanitas’ new Squarespace website is both a resource for television and film writers who want to be inspired and find support in this great organization, as well as a fundraising tool for the nonprofit to attract potential sponsors. Turning the focus on the storyteller, Humanitas celebrates the art of writing for television and film.
