Denver’s Chairs Lady Opens Studio Space, Launches Squarespace Website for Promotion

When you’re a descendent of the legendary Charles and Ray Eames—perhaps best known for the design of the famous Eames lounge chair—good design is in your blood. So suffice it to say we were more than a little flattered when Carla Hartman, Eames’ granddaughter, approached us to design a Squarespace website for her new studio space in Denver.

More than just a design studio, Chairs Lady is an inspiring space welcoming people of all ages to experience the creative energy that comes with designing and building your very own tiny chair! Hosting classes and renting the studio for special events, Carla envisioned a website as vibrant and energetic as the space itself! Fix8 Media’s Squarespace designers and developers shared her enthusiasm for the project, which is reflected in the incredibly dynamic website that resulted from the collaboration.

Designing in the Squarespace Mercer template, Fix8 Media’s Squarespace designers crafted a dynamic and colorful home page. Featuring motion video background of the Denver studio and fun images of various tiny chairs, the home page engages the visitor to click in to learn more about Chairs Lady and the many offerings. A substantial gallery offers ideas and inspiration for tiny chairs in various themes and materials, while a comprehensive About section provides the story behind Chairs Lady. It’s easy to find information and pricing for classes, as well as rental details for those looking to book the space for a party or special event. Bright buttons in the top navigation provide a quick way for visitors to get in touch with Chairs Lady via Squarespace forms. And one can very easily find all the details necessary to pop in for a visit on the Get in Touch page, which lists address, hours of operation, and even special closings.

Integrating Squarespace Commerce, the Chairs Lady website also functions as a store to sell related merchandise, including books, toys, home accessories, and more.
