Restaurants Love Showing Off Their Eats in the Squarespace Platform

A challenge for our Squarespace designers—as they often find themselves getting the munchies when working with the tantalizing images of the amazing food our talented clients prepare—we’re increasingly reminded of how ideal the Squarespace platform is for restaurants.

Recently, an existing client approached us to redesign his current restaurant website to reflect its growth and expansion. Forage Kitchen in Madison, Wisconsin, had outgrown its original Squarespace Ishimoto template design and needed a refresh to better reflect its current offerings.

Moving to the Squarespace Mercer template, Fix8 Media’s Squarespace design experts effected an equally enticing design, highlighting the delicious healthy offerings at Forage’s two—and soon to be three—locations. The new Squarespace website features menus for both locations, the ability to purchase gift cards, location maps, and online ordering via a link out to a third-party ordering platform. The new home page opens with a feast for the eyes in the form of a banner area motion video background, followed by multiple calls to action to the menus, catering offerings, and ordering options.

A cruise through the menu and one look at the tasty plates, and it’s no wonder why Forage Kitchen is striking a chord with local foodies. We just wish there was one in our neighborhood!
