Squarespace for Dining in Nola
By Josh Neimark 26 Apr, 2016
It’s the kind of place you’d expect to see featured on The Food Network—a little farm-to-table gem in one of the greatest food cities in the U.S.: New Orleans. Blue Line Sandwich Co. on Metairie Road in NOLA features the traditional dishes you’d expect to find down the bayou, but with a twist. The gumbo here is made with duck and mushroom. The house-made corned beef and hash is kicked up with hatch chiles. And the jam is made daily! This casual neighborhood eatery needed an equally charming Squarespace site to help spread the word about its tasty eats and inviting atmosphere—and Fix8 Media delivered. You’ll feel at home from the moment you hit the home page, which is backed by hand-written map of the area. Hit the menu page and your mouth is guaranteed to water as you peruse the locally sourced breakfast and lunch fare. Featuring the popular Chow Now integration with Squarespace, Blue Line Sandwich Co. can accept orders online for pick up, and also offers catering services for local events. Rounded out by a fun food-inspired blog, the new Blue Line Sandwich Co. Squarespace site is the perfect platform upon which to grow this down home business. Order up! Fix8 Media
Squarespace for Records
By Josh Neimark 10 Dec, 2015
Kids these days can’t comprehend that those of us who grew up in the 70s and beyond used to spin our favorite tunes on record players. They look at those big vinyl discs with confusion. But those of us who know and love the sound you can only get from vinyl appreciate it in a special way. That passion, combined with a deep appreciation for music and the community it can build, is at the heart of Vinyl for a Cause. Founded by vinyl junkies Adam Victorn and Charlie Greengoss, the company sought a simple but moody Squarespace website that captured the spirit behind their story. Drawing you in with a black and white Motion Video Background custom Squarespace integration on the home page, Vinyl for a Cause sets the tone for an experience. As you explore their Squarespace website, you learn that the founders press only a limited number of batches, with a large portion of each sale going to the band’s charity of choice. So not only is this record company spreading the love of music around, they’re also giving back to the community. With intentions to frequently blog to get the word out about their charitable mission, Vinyl for a Cause now has the Squarespace presence to attract both vinyl enthusiasts and musicians to its unique offering.
