Innovative Financial Analyst Group Launches Squarespace Commerce Website
A Store for Reports and Insights Built in Squarespace
Making available richly detailed reports and data for the financial sector, The Futurist Group approached Fix8 Media’s Boulder-based Squarespace website designers with the need for a customized e-commerce website that fit their unique value proposition. Offering analysis on trends, industry products, and consumer segments, the group needed a way to present their products and services to their target market.
Starting in the Squarespace Brine template for its flexibility, Fix8 Media’s experienced Squarespace designers and developers built out an incredibly robust website for The Futurist Group. The home page itself highlights a number of notable features, such as a custom angled effect beneath the first banner, motion video background in the central banner area, and a custom counter.
“With just some minor customizations to the Squarespace tools, we were able to achieve a distinct aesthetic that really makes the website stand apart from the crowd,” says Josh Neimark, Squarespace expert and Fix8 Media Creative Director. “It’s always our intention to push the limits of the Squarespace platform via customizations that don’t impact inherent functionality, nor our client’s ability to update the website on their own.”
The capability to manage the new Squarespace ecommerce website internally was an important factor for The Futurist Group, which will be adding new reports and insights on a regular basis. “Building the Squarespace store in such a way that our client can easily duplicate the products and edit as needed was key to this project,” adds Neimark.
Providing customers with the option to purchase one-off reports or subscribe for total access, the new Squarespace website features a client login and search functionality. Rounded out by case studies, a blog with posts available via subscription, and an embedded Squarespace form on the contact page for lead capture, The Futurist Group website is an example of how flexible Squarespace commerce can be to meet the needs of a variety of industries, products, and services.
