Once upon a time, a talented writer in search of an amazing website for her work approached Fix8 Media. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Susanne Lord, a writer of Victorian-era romance and author of the London Explorer series published by Sourcebooks, is the newest member of our Squarespace family. Working on her Squarespace website was a real treat for our UK-based Squarespace Specialist, Sarah Longworth, who took the lead on the project.

“I love historical fiction, so we were already on the same wavelength as to how the site might look and feel,” said Sarah. “We made three different design directions initially for Susie to choose from, all varied but bringing in strong graphics from her book. Once we singled out the strongest design direction, her graphic designer really ran with it—transforming the site with those great banners!”

Sarah added that she had a lot of fun creatively with the project, and truly enjoyed working with such an Anglophile. It was the perfect fit for our Squarespace UK office—and another beautiful website to proudly add to our team’s portfolio.
