Squarespace Bedford Template Websites
The template used for our very own website, Bedford is one of our absolute favorite Squarespace templates! An especially wonderful feature of Bedford is the ability to create banner-area slideshows, which are great for driving calls to action. The Bedford Squarespace template is well suited to businesses who are looking to engage and move their audience to targeted areas within a site.
With Bedford, full-width banner imagery, slideshows, and longer indexed pages can all be achieved. Offering both a pre-footer and a footer as standard components, Bedford features a concise and intuitive mobile navigation. Other options include a blog sidebar, secondary subnavigation for pages within a folder, and transparent header backgrounds.

Colorado-based Squarespace Designers Launch New Site for Local Business Residential and Commercial Contractor Chooses Squarespace for Website Fix8 Media’s Squarespace design and development team is accustomed to working with clients across the globe. Our Squarespace adventures have taken us far and wide in the beautiful USA, across the pond to Europe, down under to Australia, and beyond! While we enjoy working with clients around the world, we also love building Squarespace websites for local businesses. That was the case with Carbondale, Colorado-based Durgin Electric! The team at Durgin approached Fix8 for a new Squarespace website to replace their old site, which wasn’t serving the company’s needs for marketing and generating leads. Fix8’s Squarespace designers worked in the Squarespace Bedford template to craft a website that presents Durgin Electric’s residential and commercial services while highlighting the company’s experience in the field. The end result is an informative, clean, and professional Squarespace site for the Colorado-based contract service provider. It’s electric! Fix8 Media

It was a true privilege for Fix8 Media Squarespace designers and developers to work with the University of California San Francisco’s Department of Dermatology to redesign their website in the Squarespace platform. Taking into consideration the unique needs of this university department, Fix8 Squarespace designers worked closely with the team to organize a lot of information into a clean, friendly, highly functional website. The site is built in the Squarespace Bedford template. To best organize the many service options provided by the department, Fix8 structured the navigation to include drop downs for both Patient Services and Specialty Services. Once inside one of the services page, the viewer has the option to navigate within the section via a secondary navigation on the left side of the page. The Team area of the Squarespace site is designed in a similar fashion, with faculty members featured prominently one one page, where visitors can click to learn more about each member from a main central grid. The secondary navigation enables one to toggle between the various areas of the staff. A Make a Gift button links out to the university’s donation page, enabling the user to go directly from the Department of Dermatology Squarespace site to a secure donation page on the UCSF site. And a bar at the top of the home page gives users the option to learn more about UCSF or search for a specific topic. In good health, Fix8 Media

With a campaign slogan of “A Change for the Better,” Pamela Sossi chose wisely when she opted for a sleek and current Squarespace website upon which to host the online portion of her campaign. Running for Michigan State Representative in District 1, Sossi needed a website that clearly stated her position on the issues and presented her background for potential supporters’ consideration. Squarespace and Fix8 Media delivered in the form of a visually compelling and user-friendly campaign website that very clearly captures Sossi’s voice. Peppered throughout with quotes and compelling calls to action on wide-format banner images, Sossi’s new Squarespace campaign site links out to ActBlue, which is designed specifically to accept the grassroots donations Sossi seeks to attract. In addition, Fix8 Media offers the option to customize the Squarespace donation functionality, which is especially helpful to nonprofits and other entities seeking to collect donations online.
